Details: In 2025 we welcome keynote speaker Rosie Batty AO to Wollongong. Ten years after her 11-year-old son Luke was tragically killed by his father, Rosie Batty transformed her grief into a powerful campaign against domestic violence. From the start, she made sure her story gave a voice to countless victims, advocating for change. By sharing her story of resilience, she has empowered others to confront darkness, find hope, and move forward.

We’ll also be joined by rockstar dessert chef Anna Polyviou who will add a sweet touch to the lunch in celebration of 20 years of fundraising for Illawarra charities. To celebrate the milestone, Anna will curate divine dessert platters for guests before taking to the stage for a short chat with i98FM breakfast co-host Bella Leone, reflecting on her extraordinary culinary career.

Each year, International Women’s Day celebrates a worldwide theme and in 2025 the theme is March Forward. It’s time to turn promises into progress and march forward for a gender equal future.

The annual charity fundraiser is the largest IWD lunch in Australia and one of the most sought-after events on the Illawarra calendar and helps raise awareness of the need for gender parity around the world.

The (M) Factor: Shredding the Silence on Menopause film explores the hidden impact of menopause on women’s lives. Menopause has ramifications beyond just an individual woman’s well-being. The far-ranging results of women enduring untreated menopause include billions of dollars in lost wages, upended careers, family disruptions, and emotional chaos. With evidence-based information, the film empowers women to make informed health decisions and aims to remove the stigma surrounding menopause and aging. Leading global experts including Dr Mary Claire Haver, Dr Kelly Casperson and neuroscientist Lisa Mosconi feature as important voices.

The documentary has secured an international licence and already been screened to several sold-out audiences in Australia. I am aware of the need to increase awareness and education in this space, from my own experience, and the experiences of my peers and work colleagues. Misinformation and stigma are widespread, but it has been reassuring to see the growth in mainstream, quality, research-based education.

The screening is scheduled to fall within International Women’s Week on Thursday 13th March, from 7pm at The Gala Cinema Warrawong.

The documentary runs for just under an hour, with a short Q&A panel following with local professionals. Tickets are available via Eventbrite and further information via the event Instragram @mfactor_wollongong.

After a sold out event in 2024, The Wollongong team behind the satirical Gladys COVID videos present a musical journey about Gladys Berejiklian, ‘The Woman Who Saved Australia’.

Debuting Gladys in a rock ‘n’ roll press conference in the Black Summer Rock Opera Watch and Act, a crack team now takes you through the early life of Ms. Perfect, from her flawless leadership through two disasters, until her biggest disaster, Dodgy Daryl from Wagga Wagga.

With music and lyrics by local ABC presenter Nick Rheinberger, Tia Wilson returns as Gladys in several colourful blazers.

It’s got big rock numbers, epic ballads, Armenian matchmaking, tap dancing and even more musical press conferences.

Get in line for their first home show after the world premiere at Sydney Fringe!

Friday 14 March, 8pm at IMB Theatre – Illawarra Performing Arts Centre
